Lynvale Miller

a09 millerLynvale Hugh Miller died Nov. 30, 2012, at his home in Cedaredge. He was 82.

At Mr. Miller's request, no services will be held.
He was born to John and Doris (Hansen) Miller on July 15, 1930, in Akron. He spent his childhood and attended public schools in Gunnison.

He lived in Elgin, Ore., before moving to Cedaredge seven years ago.

Mr. Miller retired from the U.S. Navy. He enjoyed helping others, metalworking, woodworking, collecting coins and stamps, guns and working on old cars.

He is survived by his son, Ray Miller and his wife Debra of Jacksonville, Ark.; two daughters, Katherine Hammock of Ucaipa, Calif., and Cynthia Ervin and her husband Erik of Crested Butte; two brothers, Roger Miller of Casper, Wyo., and Loren Miller of Las Vegas, Nev.; three sisters, Pat Williams of Gunnison, Janet McDonald of Lake City, and Diana Thurmond of Westminster; five grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Arnott.

Arrangements were handled by Taylor Funeral Service and Crematory.
