Jason Rhode of Cedaredge died Nov. 30, 2012, at Delta County Memorial Hospital. He was 40.
A memorial service will be held at Delta High School Sunday, Dec. 16, at 11 a.m.
Jason Laine Rhode was born to Alvin and Linda (Orr) Rhode on May 17, 1972, in Wheatridge. He spent his childhood and attended schools in Delta, graduating from Delta High School in 1990.
He and his wife bought property in Cedaredge in 1996 where he built their home.
Mr. Rhode was a roofer for many years throughout western Colorado. He enjoyed being a husband and father, mountain biking, snowboarding, fishing, attending music concerts and participating in his son's sporting events.
He is survived by his wife, Rachael Rhode; his son, Malaki Rhode, both of Cedaredge; his mother, Linda Rhode of Delta; two brothers, Jayme Rhode of Grand Junction and Zane Rhode of Delta; and his father- and mother-in-law, Jerry and Barbara Harris of Cory.
He was preceded in death by his father, Alvin Rhode; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Arrangements are being handled by Taylor Funeral Service and Crematory.
