Doris V. Kuehn died Dec. 10, 2012, at her home in Lazear. She was 87.
A funeral service was held Dec. 15 at Taylor Funeral Service Chapel in Hotchkiss, with Pastor Jim Jesser officiating. Interment was in Riverside Cemetery in Hotchkiss.
Doris Virginia Ivester was born to Charles and Lillian (Irwin) Ivester on Nov. 27, 1925, in Prentice, Okla. She spent her childhood and attended schools in Sayre, Okla.
On Nov. 12, 1961, she married Elmer R. Kuehn in Castle Rock, Wash. They were married nearly 19 years. Elmer died Nov. 8, 1980, in Longview, Wash.
Mrs. Kuehn enjoyed animals, especially her dog Max, being a wife, mother and grandmother and cooking for her family.
Mrs. Kuehn is survived by her son, Perry Brandt and his wife Natalie of Lazear; two daughters, Karen Welch and her husband Jim of Kelso, Wash., and Janet Tucker and her husband Steven of Orondo, Wash.; a sister, Mavis Zahler and her husband Ed of Oklahoma City, Okla.; four grandchildren, Wendi and Kelly Ross, Tim and Desi Housley, Kris and Lyle Debbin, and Amber Tucker; two great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
