Virginia Pagoria

a08 pagoriaDelta resident Virginia R. Pagoria died Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012, at Colorow Care Center in Olathe. She was 87.

Visitation will be at the Russo Hillside Chapel in Hillside, Ill., Friday, Dec. 28, with graveside funeral services following at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.

Virginia R. DeLisio was born to Michael and Mary (Paduano) DeLisio on April 9, 1925, in Chicago Heights, Ill. She spent her childhood and attended schools in Chicago Heights.

On Oct. 31, 1948, she married Joseph Pagoria in Chicago Heights. The couple celebrated over 58 years of marriage before Mr. Pagoria died in 2006.

Mrs. Pagoria enjoyed being a wife, mother and grandmother, playing bingo and watching television game shows. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Delta.

Mrs. Pagoria is survived by three daughters, Karen Schultz and husband Michael of Saginaw, Mich., Sharon Barclay and husband Richard of Delta, and MaryEllen Lopacinski and husband Erik of Dublin, Calif.; one sister, Rose Prospero of Kankakee, Ill.; four grandchildren, Christopher Lendi and Gina Lendi both of Thornton, Ill., Erin Barclay of Grand Junction and April Key of Saginaw, Mich.; and two great-grandchildren, Tony Key and Cassidy Key.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Pagoria; a granddaughter, Amber Barclay; two brothers, Paul DeLisio and Pat DeLisio; and a sister, Irene Littman.

Arrangements were handled by Taylor Funeral Service and Crematory and Russo Hillside Chapels in Illinois.
