Rita M. Dean of Carson City, Nev., died Dec. 24, 2012. She was 85.
Rita M. Madigan was born to James and Bernadine Madigan June 10, 1927, in Chicago, Ill.
She married Wayne Dean on May 5, 1955, in Raton, N.M. She was very active in the Delta community in the 1970s. Before moving to Nevada in 1980, she and Wayne owned and operated Wayne's Drive-In in Delta for six years.
Mrs. Dean is survived by her sons, David Dean of Carson City, Nev., Patrick Dean of Oklahoma City, Okla., Mike and Tom Dean, both of Denver; her daughters, Kathy Dean of Carson City, Nev., Linda Dent and Donna Knight, both of Denver; her sister, Delores Huyler of Gardnerville, Nev.; her brothers, Robert Madigan of Los Angeles, Calif., and Tom Madigan of Chicago, Ill.; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Wayne; her sister, Barbara; and her brothers, James Madigan and Raymond Madigan.
A celebration of life service will be held at Presbyterian Church in Carson City, Nev.
