Gertrud "Monika" Fineberg died Jan. 19, 2013, at Paonia Care Center. She was 78.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
Mrs. Fineberg was born to Johann and Bertha and grew up in Germany. She moved to Paonia from Omaha, Neb., in January 2008.
She enjoyed fashion, shopping and playing the piano. In her younger days she enjoyed traveling worldwide. She organized a Bible study group at Paonia Care Center and served as president of the resident council.
Mrs. Fineberg is survived by her daughter, Jackie Mellott and husband Brian and their family, all of Paonia.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Hansi; her husband, Jack Fineberg; and her son, John Lucente Jr.
Arrangements are being handled by Taylor Funeral Service and Crematory.
