Evelyn Macklin died Jan. 18, 2013, at Willow Tree Care Center in Delta. She was 95.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 2, at Taylor Funeral Service Chapel in Delta with members of the family officiating.
Evelyn Frances Macklin was born Jan. 26, 1917, to Ralph and Lydia (Graham) Macklin in Onion Valley near Maher.
Ms. Macklin was raised in the Maher area and attended school in Maher and Crawford. She furthered her education at Ross Business College. She lived in Grand Junction from 1936 until 1981 where she was a bookkeeper. She moved back to Crawford in 1981 and in 1997 to Delta.
She was a member of the Delta United Methodist Church, Delta Senior Citizens, Delta Christian Women's Society and the Crawford Book Club. She enjoyed fishing and all kinds of needlework.
Ms. Macklin is survived by her nephews, Argee Gofforth and his wife Wanda of Crawford and Vernon of Pahrump, Nev.; her great-nephews, Leslie and his wife Janet of Montrose, Terry and his wife Sandy of South Carolina; her great-nieces, Cheryl Woldruff and her husband Jim of Grand Junction and Betty Jean Andreini and her husband Marc of California; numerous great-great-nieces and nephews; and great-great-great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Thelma Gofforth and Elaine Austin; two brothers, Frank Macklin and Harold Macklin.
