Evelyn Lund died Jan. 24, 2013, at the age of 95.
Evelyn Olive Bates was born June 5, 1917, to Edward and Eva (Hinton) Bates near Crawford where she grew up.
She graduated from Crawford High School in 1936.
She is survived by her son, George Lund and spouse Patricia of Paonia; her daughter, Sharon Howard and spouse Dave of Nashville, Tenn.; six grandchildren, Michaele Scofield and spouse Casey, Eric Lund and spouse Cassie, Ted Lund, Cassandra Osborne and spouse Kyle, Erica Biehl and spouse Elijah, and Bryan Howard and spouse Beth; and seven great-grandchildren, Madeleine and Lillian Scofield, Isaiah and Chloe Lund, Sean Osborne, Madelyn Howard and Gunner Lund.
Inurnment will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Paonia. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, March 11, at First Christian Church of Paonia, 227 Oak Avenue.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
