Marsha Cherie McGehee of Delta died Sunday, Feb. 26, 2012, at her parents' home in Delta. She was 33.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, Feb. 29, at 2 p.m. at the General Assembly and Church of the First Born in Delta, with Wes Easter and Bruce Martin officiating. Interment will follow at Pea Green Cemetery.
Ms. McGehee was born Sept. 2, 1978, in Clifton, to Gary and Linda (Bellew) McGehee. When she was five months old, she and her family moved to the Delta/Montrose area where she spent her childhood. She graduated from Olathe High School. She attended Mesa State College and was getting ready to complete her work for her master's degree at Colorado Mesa University.
She was a career counselor and worked for the Career Center and was a victims advocate for Tri County. She taught children how to read and was active in after school programs.
Ms. McGehee is survived by her parents, Gary and Linda McGehee of Delta; a son, Vandon Kuechler of Delta; and three brothers and their wives, Ryan and Jeannie McGehee of Delta, Jason and Kimberly McGehee of Agra, Okla., and Mason and Kimber McGehee of Stillwater, Okla.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents; and a niece, Amanda McGehee.
