Lea Sickles died March 26, 2013, at her home in Crawford. She was 53.
Graveside funeral services were held March 29 at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Crawford with Bishop Steve Bayles officiating.
Lea Dawn Pinckard was born in Delta July 21, 1959, to Lester and Georgia (English) Pinckard. She attended school in Crawford and graduated from Paonia High School in 1977.
She married Charles Sickles Nov. 28, 1985, in Las Vegas, Nev. They celebrated 27 years of marriage last year. He survives.
Mrs. Sickles enjoyed being a wife, stepmother and stepgrandmother, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Paonia.
Mrs. Sickles is survived by her husband, Charles of Crawford; her father, Lester Pinckard of Crawford; a stepdaughter, Tammy Nelson and husband Jason of Arvada; a brother, Duane Pinckard of Paonia; a sister, Rose Nute of Junction City, Ore.; and three stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Georgia Pinckard; and a stepson, Charlie Sickles.
Arrangements are being handled by Taylor Funeral Service and Crematory.
