Delta County resident Eva Stockett died March 31, 2013, at Hospice Care Center in Grand Junction. She was 89.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m., Friday, April 5, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Cedaredge, with Bishop Nathan Tullis officiating. Inurnment will be at Wheatland Cemetery in Wheatland, Wyo.
Eva E. Pitzer was born in Chugwater, Wyo., May 11, 1923, to Lynn and Minerva (Rutledge) Pitzer. She spent her chidhood and attended schools in Chugwater.
On Nov. 5, 1938, she married Lloyd Stockett in Denver. They celebrated 59 years of marriage before Lloyd died in 1997.
Mrs. Stockett enjoyed being a wife, mother and grandmother and spending time with her family. She was active in church activities at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Cedaredge.
She is survived by her daughter, Dona Baptist of Cedaredge; three grandsons; 10 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Stockett; and two sons, Donald and Dennis Stockett.
