Former Crawford resident Herbert Vincent Moore died April 21, 2013, in Fort Collins. He was 98.
He was born in Brunswick, Mo., Oct. 11, 1914, to Lanious and Essie (Lester) Moore.
Mr. Moore was a first lieutenant and glider pilot instructor in the U.S. Air Force from 1941-1945. He worked for General Motors for 30 years, retiring in 1977 when he moved to Crawford.
He enjoyed the mountains and the outdoors, hunting, fishing and gardening.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Wanda of Fort Collins; his daughter, Georgia Chaney and husband Doug of Fort Collins; two grandchildren, Troy Chaney of Fort Collins and Jennifer Colter of Laramie, Wyo., and four great-grandchildren.
No formal service is planned.
