Longtime Redlands Mesa resident Ann Burritt died at her home April 23, 2013. She was 81.
A graveside memorial service was held Monday, April 29, at Eckert Cemetery.
Ann A. Ingelhart was born in Grand Junction April 11, 1932, to Charles and Opal (Emmons) Ingelhart. She spent her childhood in Fruita, graduating from Fruita High School in 1950.
She married Fred Burrit in April 1950. They spent their lives on the Burritt family farm on Redlands Mesa. Fred died at their home Feb. 14, 2002.
Mrs. Burritt enjoyed skiing, fishing and dancing at the Hotchkiss Elks Lodge. She had been a member of the Rebekahs. She was a secretary for the Delta County School District for 20 years. After retirement she became a Master Gardener. The Burritts started an organic produce business.
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Locke and husband Scot of Englewood; her son, Michael Burritt and wife Jana of Grand Junction; her brother, Jay Ingelhart of Fruita; her grandchildren, David Burritt and James Burritt; and adopted great-grandchildren, Zane Burritt and Dray Burritt.
She was preceded in death by her brother, John "Jack" Ingelhart.
