Delta County resident Valerie Glemser-Reinhardt died June 4, 2013, at Hospice Care Center in Grand Junction. She was 60.
A family memorial service will be held at a later date.
Valerie E. Glemser was born in Wyandotte, Mich., Oct. 25, 1952, to Walter and Jacqueline (Keiter) Glemser. At the age of 6 she gained a stepfather, Robert Boomer. She spent her childhood in Scottsdale, Ariz., graduating from Saguaro High School in 1970.
On May 4, 1989, she married Daniel Reinhardt in Phoenix, Ariz. They lived in Sedona, Ariz., until moving to Hotchkiss in August 2006.
Mrs. Glemser-Reinhardt was a seamstress. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, reading and hiking and was very spiritual.
She is survived by her husband, Daniel Reinhardt of Hotchkiss; a son, Russell MacKenzie of Hotchkiss; daughters, Lisa MacKenzie of Las Vegas, Nev., and Eva MacKenzie of Hotchkiss; a brother, Jeffrey Glemser and wife Nancy of Port Orford, Ore.; four grandchildren, Jumanah MacKenzie, Isiah Mac-Kenzie, and Kaleb Mac-Kenzie, all of Las Vegas, Nev., and Ella Stoner of Hotchkiss; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and stepfather, Robert Boomer.
