Eva Lee Greenwood died June 18, 2013, at Hospice Care Center in Grand Junction. She was 93.
At her request, cremation has taken place and she will be placed at the foot of her mother's grave in Delta City Cemetery.
Eva Lee Hurd was born in Hooker, Okla., Oct. 29, 1919, to Thomas and Inez (Arnold) Hurd. She moved from Oklahoma to Delta in 1925 with her mother and stepfather, Winfield Tuttle.
During World War II, she worked at Continental Motors in Detroit, Mich., as a process inspector. Returning to Delta after the war, she worked as a bookkeeper for several companies, including First National Bank in Grand Junction, Gay Johnson's, Holland's and Dr. Warner's office. She retired from Western Colorado Light and Power in Delta.
She married Roy Greenwood Jan. 19, 1973, in Delta. He died Jan. 15, 1987. She was previously married to James Clark and Ralph Kettell; both preceded her in death.
Mrs. Greenwood was a member of First Baptist Church, Katherine Rebekah Lodge No. 65, a past member of Epsilon Sigma Alpha Sorority, and a 50-year-plus member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter 39.
She enjoyed flower gardens, her dogs, especially her dog Koko, collecting recipes, following the activities of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and in her later years, caring for others' children.
She is survived by a daughter, Rayleen Edwards and husband Jim of Grand Junction; six grandsons, Rod Clark and wife Jeanette of Berry, Ala., Ralph Clark and wife Lisa of Springfield, Mo., Joe Clark of Tuscaloosa, Ala., James Edwards and wife Cara of Farmington, N.M., Damon Edwards of Brighton, and Canone Clark of Grand Junction; a granddaughter, Tamara Clark of Aztec, N.M.; 10 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Janet Clark.
She was preceded in death by her son, Robert D. Clark; a brother; and three half-sisters.
Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, June 29, at Delta City Cemetery.
