Delta resident Norma Jean Davis died June 24, 2013, at Willow Tree Care Center in Delta. She was 82.
Funeral services were held June 29 at Taylor Funeral Service Chapel in Delta. Interment followed in Delta City Cemetery.
Norma Jean Anna Harris was born in Darlington, Mo., May 4, 1931, to Samuel and Sarah (Hartman) Harris. She spent her childhood and graduated from high school in Darlington.
On Oct. 18, 1952, she married Harold Davis in St. Joseph, Mo. They lived in St. Joseph, Mo., Denver, Alsaka and Oklahoma before moving to Delta in 2012.
Mrs. Davis was a bookkeeper for many years in Denver and Alaska. She enjoyed ceramics, crocheting and traveling. She was a member of the Savannah Baptist Church in St. Joseph, Mo.
She is survived by her brother, Frank Harris of Clermont, Fla.; her sister, Oletha King of Indian Hills; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Harold, on Nov. 10, 2012; three brothers, James, Delbert and Robert Harris; and a sister, Sarah Wood.
