Tom Clay Hill died July 2, 2013, at his home in Olathe. He was 69.
Mr. Hill was born in Denver July 25, 1943, to Clayton and Olga Hill. He grew up on the Blue River and attended school in Summit County.
He raised cattle on various ranches in Park and Summit counties, eventually settling on the Gore Pass Ranch in Kremmling for 40 years. He moved to Olathe where he lived for the past seven years.
He enjoyed being a husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend, ranching, roping, team penning and playing poker with his friends. He was a supporter of 4-H, FFA and various youth programs. The 2000 Middle Park Fair and Rodeo was dedicated in his honor.
Mr. Hill is survived by his wife of 27 years, Linda; her sons Stetson and Cody (Alisha) Mumma; his children, Jodi (Sandy) Hill, Shawn (Kelly) Farrell, Matt (Heidi) Hill, Mark (Polly) Hill and Samijean (Shawn) Lechman; a brother, Gary (Alice) Hill; a sister, Evelyn Avery; 14 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, George Hill; and a sister, Lucille Wall.
A funeral service was held July 8 at Grand County Fairgrounds in Kremmling. Interment followed at Kremmling Cemetery.
