Delta resident Dustin "D.J." Overturf died July 1, 2013, in Montrose. He was 22.
A celebration of life was held July 6 at Cleland Park in Delta.
Dustin James Overturf was born in Delta Aug. 24, 1990, to Jo Dine Overturf. He attended school in Olathe.
He was athletic and artistic. He enjoyed music, dancing and cars.
Mr. Overturf is survived by his mother, Jo Dine Cress of Delta; his father, Mike Goodman of Olathe; a daughter due in October; brothers, Brandon Mooney and Antonette Artery of Delta, Michael Overturf and wife Savannah of Washington, D.C., Kaleb Robinson and fiancée Deidre McKibben of Montrose, and Courtney Lawver of Delta; sisters, Samantha Overturf of Denver and Randi Moore and her daughter Zaelynn Arias of Delta; longtime friend, Jim Fister of Olathe; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Bessie Herman; his grandfathers, Harvey Smith and Cecil Wilhelm; and an aunt, Sam Carter.
Taylor Funeral Service and Crematory handled the arrangements.
