Delta resident Lowell Leon Anderson died July 2, 2013, at Delta County Memorial Hospital. He was 69.
A memorial service was held July 6 at First Assembly of God in Delta.
Mr. Anderson was born in Bremerton, Wash., April 2, 1944, to Fred and Grace (White) Anderson.
At the age of four he moved with his family to Minnesota where he attended school. He graduated from North High School in 1962 and from North Central University in 1966.
He married Sandra Lee June 3, 1967, in Crosby, Minn.
He was a licensed pastor with the Assemblies of God since 1966. He was ordained in 1969.
Mr. Anderson pastored at Gospel Tabernacle in Owen-Withee, Wis., First Assembly of God in Sheboygan, Wis., Charlevoix Assembly of God in Charlevoix, Mich., Peoples Church in Columbia Heights, Minn., First Assembly of God in Grand Junction and Central Assembly of God in Muskegon, Mich. He served for five years as the youth and Christian education director for the Wisconsin/Northern Michigan District of the Assemblies of God in Waupaca, Wis. He was the administrator of Camp Cedaredge for one year.
Mr. Anderson enjoyed fishing and spending every 4th of July week with family at Coon Lake in Minnesota.
He is survived by his wife, Sandy; one son, Paul Anderson and wife Crystal of Erie; one daughter, Keren Hepola and husband Mike of Taylors, S.C.; one brother, Arden Anderson and wife Nancy of Anoka, Minn.; and three grandchildren, Cameron Hepola, Grady Anderson and Grace Anderson.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Evelyn Juergensen.
