Grand Junction resident Robert Bell Sr. died July 2, 2013. He was 80.
He was born in Pennsylvania March 20, 1933, to William and Marie Bell. He spent most of his younger years in Illinois.
Mr. Bell was a sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps. He served in Korea.
He married Barbara Dungfelder.
He was a salesman in Woodridge, Ill., from 1956 through 1970 and moved to Hotchkiss in the early 1970s to become a rancher.
He was a longtime member of the Elks.
Mr. Bell is survived by his three children, Patti Butterfield and husband Dale of Colorado Springs, Bob Bell Jr. and wife Sue of Littleton, and Jim Bell and wife Robin of Grand Junction; a brother, William Bell; three sisters, Kathleen, Andy and Terry Bell; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Barbara.
