Longtime Paonia resident Katie Moran died Aug. 10, 2013, at Paonia Care and Rehabilitation Center. She was 94.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 22, at the Elks Lodge in Hotchkiss.
Katie Delight Clifford was born in Earlton, Kan., Dec. 15, 1918, to Benjamin and Rebecca (Edwards) Clifford.
She married Clinton Moran April 23, 1935. They lived in Kansas, Virginia and Boulder before moving to Paonia in 1968.
Mrs. Moran was a member of First Baptist Church in Hotchkiss. She was a 38-year member of Emblem Club. She enjoyed baking pies for the Paonia auction, crossword puzzles, embroidery and reading books.
She is survived by three sons, James Moran and wife Pat of Lovettsville, Va., Terry Moran and wife Patty of Paonia, and Kevin Moran and wife Rebecca of Grand Junction; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.
