Longtime Cedaredge resident Ethel Williams died Aug. 17, 2013, at Horizons Care Center in Eckert. She was 88.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 22, at Delta Christian Church, with Pastor Will Pruett presiding. Burial will follow at Cedaredge Cemetery.
Ethel A. Randall was born in Manter, Kan., July 20, 1925, to William and Mary Jane (Mumford) Randall. She spent her childhood in Kansas, the San Luis Valley and Cripple Creek. She attended Cripple Creek High School.
On Dec. 29, 1946, she married Keith Williams in Denver. They lived at Grand Canyon and Yellowtone national parks while Keith worked for the National Park Service. They retired to Cedaredge in 1992.
Mrs. Williams enjoyed being a wife, mother and grandmother, crafts, rug hooking, collecting rocks, fishing and nature. She was a member of Delta Christian Church, Cedar Craft Club and Delta County Rock Wranglers.
She is survived by two sons, Mark Williams and wife Kathy of Omaha, Neb., and Keith Williams Jr. and wife Charlene of Rapid City, S.D.; two daughters, Janice Grove and husband Bob of Carbondale, Ill., and Carol McLaughlin of Placerville, Calif.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Keith, on Dec. 12, 2009.
