Mary Jo Rich of Delta died Aug. 23, 2013, at Willow Tree Care Center in Delta. She was 64.
A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Aug. 30, at Taylor Funeral Service Chapel in Delta.
Mary Jo Brown was born in Denver Jan. 8, 1949. She was adopted by Kenneth and Lucille (Bayer) Brown. She grew up and attended school in Delta. She graduated from Delta High School in 1967.
On July 10, 1967, she married Ronald G. Rich in Durango.
Mrs. Rich was a bookkeeper for several years until her health declined from multiple sclerosis. She enjoyed crocheting, embroidery, cooking and taking care of her family. She spent numerous hours researching for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
She is survived by her son, Charles Rich and wife Sunny of San Antonio, Texas; her daughter, Brenda Georgi and husband Timothy of Ply-mouth, Minn.; one brother, Michael Brown and wife Vicki of Delta; and two grandchildren, Chaelynn and Chaeün Rich.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Ronald Rich, and her parents.
