Chris A. Ankenman died Oct. 14, 2013, at his home in Miami, Okla. He was 56.
He was born in Crawford Dec. 13, 1956, to Bill and Betty Lou (Barsch) Ankenman.
He graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in animal science. He was a partner in Ankenman Ranch, cow/calf producers of Tarentaise Cattle.
He was a member of the Oklahoma Cattlemen's Association, a board member of the Farmers' Cooperative Association and participated in the Oklahoma Agricultural Leadership Program.
He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Miami.
He is survived by his parents, Bill and Betty Lou Ankenman; his wife, Sandy (Spann) Ankenman; daughters, Autumn (John) Fuhrman, Lacey Ankenman, Abbey Ankenman; and sister, Carol (Hank) Coiner.
A memorial service was held Friday, Oct. 18, at First Presbyterian Church in Miami, Okla.
