Former Delta resident Christine Lynne Fredlund died suddenly Dec. 13, 2013, at Jackson Hospital in Montgomery, Ala. She was 51.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
She was born in Vallejo, Calif., Aug. 28, 1962, to Alfred and Marjorie (Samson) Fredlund. The family lived in Pennsylvania, Illinois and Arizona. Ms. Fredlund graduated from St. John's Arizona High School. She received a bachelor's degree from Sacramento State University.
Ms. Fredlund lived in Delta for many years before moving to Wetumpka, Ala.
She received the Miss Teen USA Who's Who of America. She was employed as a grocery store manager.
She is survived by her mother, Marjorie Fredlund of Delta; her companion, John Gallop of Wetumpka, Ala.; siblings, Scott (Jeanette) Fredlund and Cathrine Fredlund, all of Delta; and two nephews, Darrin and Tyler Fredlund.
She was preceded in death by her father, Alfred Fredlund.
