Vicki Jeanette Martinez died Sunday, Dec. 8, 2013, at Presbyterian/St. Luke's Medical Center in Denver. She was 74.
Services were held Saturday, Dec. 14, at the First Assembly of God in Delta with Rev. Jason Neely and Rev. Buddy Bishop officiating.
Mrs. Martinez was born in Palo Alto, Calif., Sept. 25, 1939, to Victor Snyder and Edna (Gwen) (Snyder) Blome. She grew up and attended school in Rifle. She moved to Delta in 1971.
She was a member of the First Assembly of God in Delta.
She enjoyed the ocean and her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Martinez is survived by her husband, Moses Martinez of Delta; a daughter, Pam Schaaf of Grand Junction; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three stepdaughters, Loeta (Steve) Hendrickson of LaSalle, Leona (Dan) Mestas of Longmont and Lovina (Christoph) Pott of Berthoud; a stepson, Tom (Debbie) Martinez of Longmont; 10 stepgrandchildren; four stepgreatgrandchildren; and a brother, Ronald Snyder of Arizona.
She was preceded in death by her father, Victor Snyder; mother, Edna Blome; stepfather, Gene Blome; and two brothers, John and Robert Snyder.
Arrangements were handled by Taylor Funeral Service and Crematory.
