B. Lenore Champlin, a longtime resident of Montrose, died Sunday, Jan. 5, 2014, at Valley Manor Care Center. She was 94.
She was born in Cedaredge Jan. 10, 1919, to Otis and Emma (Hicks) Williams. She grew up in several western Colorado mining communities. She married Walter Champlin in May 1936. He preceded her in death in 1982.
Mrs. Champlin was a homemaker and a member of Grace Baptist Church. She enjoyed needlework, children's ministries and spending time with her family.
She is survived by one daughter, Leona (Don) Hamilton of Ellsworth, Neb.; eight grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband; three sons, Tyler, Fred and Ray Champlin and his wife, Nan McNew Champlin; a daughter, Carol Owsley; and three sisters, Pearl Noe, Amy Phillips and Ethel Turner.
A funeral service officiated by Pastor Greg Roby will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 10, at Clark's Valley Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Ouray.
Memorial contributions may be made to Valley Manor Care Center in Montrose.
