Andrew Lloyd Meader died Dec. 29, 2013, at his home in El Jebel. He was 23.
He was born in Placerville, Calif., June 20, 1990, to Scott Meader and Maureen Crawford. He grew up and attended school in Paonia.
He attended college five years, majoring in psychology and philosophy, with minors in English and chemistry.
On Oct. 5, 2013, he married Baneza Andrades-Vargas in Glenwood Springs.
Mr. Meader enjoyed the outdoors, animals, cooking, baking and writing. He published a book titled "Inside the Nutshell" along with several other poems.
He is survived by his wife, Baneza; his unborn daughter, Zofia, due Feb. 14; his parents, Scott and Maureen; his brothers, Nathaniel Crawford and Nicholas Meader; and a sister, Natasha Meader.
A mass was held Jan. 7 at St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Glenwood Springs. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery in Carbondale.
