Floyd "Jack" Baumfalk Jr. died Jan. 13, 2014, at his home in Glenrock, Wyo. He was 72.
Services were held Jan. 20 at Oregon Trail State Veterans Cemetery in Evansville, Wyo., with military honors provided by the United Veterans Council of Natrona County and the Wyoming Army National Guard Military Funeral Honors.
Mr. Baumfalk was born in Bird City, Kan., May 6, 1941, to Floyd and Thelma (Gray) Baumfalk Sr.
He attended Delta High School. After high school, he entered the U.S. Army and served during the Vietnam era.
After his service he attended the University of Nebraska in Lincoln.
He married Loretta (Cole) Edwards June 26, 1971, in Montrose. He had two daughters and she had three children. They had one daughter together.
Mr. Baumfalk enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, hunting and fishing. He and Loretta made several trips to Canada to fish.
He is survived by his wife, Loretta of Glenrock, Wyo.; six children, George Edwards of Durango, Glenda Homann of Spearfish, S.D.; Julie (Richard) Treon III of Stinnett, Texas, Cheri Forney of Norfolk, Neb.; Patricia (Michael) Lewis of Lakewood; and Susan (Eugene) Hogan of Glenrock, Wyo.; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; several brothers- and sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, William Baumfalk and Robert Baumfalk.
