Longtime Crawford resident Betty J. Mansfield died Friday, Jan. 24, 2014, at Delta County Memorial Hospital. She was 87.
At her request, no services will be held.
Betty J. Graham was born to John and Dora May (Walden) Graham on Feb. 16, 1926, in Concordia, Kan. She spent her childhood and attended school in Concordia.
On Oct. 18, 1946, she married Bill Mansfield in Concordia, Kan. They were married 56 years before Bill's death in 2002.
They lived in Glendale, Ariz., before moving to Crawford in 1971. She enjoyed volunteering for the Crawford church thrift shop and the senior citizens center. She was a member of the United Brethren Church in Concordia, Kan., and the fire auxiliary in Crawford. She enjoyed traveling, camping, visiting relatives, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by two sons, Ronald (Lynn) Mansfield of Sneads, Fla., and Bill (Melissa) Mansfield of Crawford; two sisters, Alberta Trosclair of Biloxi, Miss., and Dorothy Revell of Concordia, Kan.; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Mansfield; three daughters, Phyllis Crawford, Beverly Pierce and Laura Reiss; one brother; and one sister.
Taylor Funeral Service and Crematory is handling the arrangements.
