As old as time itself, the notion of preserving one's time and place for the future more than likely began with the Egyptians. If you think about it, the pyramids were a "time capsule" of sorts, created to be vessels to the afterlife, as well as vessels to the future.

"Show Me the Way Home" by ﬁrst time author Marjolyn Nicholson Clampett tells of her early life in Indonesia, six years in a Japanese concentration camp and life after coming to America.

Marjolyn was born in 1930 on Java, Dutch East Indies, now Indonesia.

As an enthusiastic promoter of cross-country skiing, and former cross-country ski instructor, I can say that John Ray Burritt is one of the finest, most graceful and accomplished cross-country skiers I have ever had the pleasure of skiing with.

Hotchkiss resident John Ray Burritt was chosen to represent the United States in the 1960 Winter Olympics at Squaw Valley, Idaho.
