Adventure’s First Stop

Maverik opened at the corner of Highways 50 and 92 Wednesday, Jan. 23, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, free food samples and discounted gas prices that fueled a price war with Bradley’s across the street. The 4,600-square-foot convenience store will be open 24 hours a day and is managed by Clyde Wright (pictured with the scissors). The Maverik chain is expanding rapidly through the western states of Washington, Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Nebraska, Nevada, Utah, Arizona and Colorado.
