Delta Health and Wellness Center (DHWC), a community-owned non-profit clinic that opened last summer, provides services for area residents who have been unable to find a medical home, or those unable to afford primary care services.
Hours were recently expanded to accommodate Tuesday, Friday and Saturday appointments.
Family nurse practition-er AliceMarie Slaven-Emond has completed her relocation to Delta and looks forward to meeting you.
The mission of the DHWC is to increase access to primary medical care, serving as a medical home to patients without a primary care provider, and to fill the gap of much-needed reduced-fee primary care services. DHWC has a limited number of reduced-fee visits available each month to offer to any new patient that needs an office appointment. Patients are encouraged to call for the income requirements and reduced-fee paperwork. DHWC will have office hours Tuesdays from 2 to 6 p.m., Fridays from 1 to 5 p.m. and Saturdays 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Patients are strongly encouraged to call for an appointment time to minimize waiting.
