Process for protesting personal property values

From June 15 to July 1, 2013, owners of taxable personal property (e.g., business furnishings, equipment, etc.) may challenge the county assessor's valuation of their property. The value determined by the assessor is based on information submitted on your Personal Property Declaration Schedule.

A group of artists hopes to impart energy to Main Street, while gaining exposure for their own artwork, by opening a cooperative venture known as Confluence Gallery.

The gallery, located at 4th & Main Exchange, showcases the creativity of artists from Delta and surrounding areas.

Library patrons, members of the Friends of Delta Public Library and representatives from the Delta Area Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting ceremony on May 31 for the bookstore at the Delta Library which the friends run to raise funds for the library. Cutting the ceremonial ribbon are friends co-presidents Donna Miller and Nancy Hutto. Stop by the bookstore on the basement level of the library for some new reading material and help your local library at the same time!

Reynolds is one of four Grand Junction women who stocked “Grandma’s Attic” with soft goods for babies, toddlers and adults. Gloria Pace is a Delta resident who has a lifelong love of arts and crafts. Her booth, “Embellishments by Gloria,” features home decor.The windows of the 4th & Main Exchange in Delta bear just three words — art, vintage, antiques. But when you step through the doors of the historic building, you'll realize that's just a taste of what's being offered by an eclectic group of artists, crafters, collectors and consignors.
