The Delta Area Chamber of Commerce is accepting nominations for the Businesses and the Volunteer of the Year, to be recognized at the chamber's annual banquet March 16.

DCMH offers digital chest X-rays for miners

Delta County Memorial Hospital (DCMH) has become one of the first in the nation to be approved for digital chest X-rays, hospital administrator Jason Cleckler reports.

Using the latest digital imaging, chest X-rays required of all coal miners at pre-employment, and at different intervals during their employment, may now be transmitted more efficiently, quickly and cost effectively.

State to undertake major study on oil, gas emissions

The state is set to launch this summer a significant study of emissions tied to oil and gas development. The project will provide information about how oil and gas emissions behave, how they travel and their characteristics in areas along the northern Front Range.
