New med benefit gets little interest

A new Medicaid program targeted to benefit low-income "adults without dependent children" has drawn little interest in Colorado and Delta County.

The first two weeks of the program saw only 300 people signing up across the entire state. Delta County saw just 12 people interested in the program.

DCMH links to area health care organizations

Quality Health Network (QHN), announces that connectivity with Delta County Memorial Hospital (DCMH) is now completed linking the hospital and area providers in western Colorado that utilize the QHN Health Information Exchange.

John Mitchell, Delta County Memorial Hospital CEO/administrator, commented, "Data is the DNA of electronic medical record care. The QHN data repository is a vital tool for hospitals and physicians to take even better care of their patients."
