For a two-week period beginning June 19, 1st Street between Palmer and Silver streets will be closed intermittently for girder placement for the Confluence Drive bridges. Additionally, Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR) will be replacing the Palmer Street crossing during this time.

Family benefit

Jeanine Hovel and Karen Wagner, Redeemer Lutheran Church members, serve hamburgers and hotdogs at a fundraiser for the family of Pastor Jeffrey Ryan. Pastor Ryan was serving at Redeemer Lutheran Church when he died suddenly, leaving behind a wife and three young children. The fundraiser was co-sponsored by Pioneer Propane and Thrivent Financial for Lutherans and included an auction.
