Last Friday, Sept. 21, the DCI learned that a Delta County man in his 80s had died from West Nile virus related causes.

On Monday, Delta County Coroner Kevin Lucy confirmed the death of an 82-year-old male who had not traveled out of Delta County for several months.

The Delta County Memorial Hospital board of directors has named Jason Cleckler the acting hospital administrator/CEO. He had been sharing those duties with the hospital's chief financial officer, Bev Carlson, since hospital administrator John Mitchell was terminated in July.
