A big project proposal involving paving and other work at Blake Field came in above bid prompting the BoCC to approve application for more grant money to do the job.

According to the commissioners discussion on Sept. 17, a bid for a taxiway and wind cone relocation came in at $535,000 including engineering.

The Delta County Commissioners and county administration on Oct. 1 held a recognition observance honoring 19 employees who have attained service milestones with the county of 10 to 35 years.

Recognized for 35 years of service were Ralph Clark, District No. 3 road foreman, and William Carpenter, equipment operator.
