Former high school principals Todd Markley (Cedaredge) and Kurt Clay (Delta) have been named assistant superintendents by Caryn Gibson, superintendent of schools for Delta County Joint School District 50.

Markley's focus will be high schools and human resources; Clay will oversee pre-kindergarten to eighth grade schools and school/community relations, among other duties.

Delta-Montrose Electric Association (DMEA) is a non-profit electric distribution cooperative governed by a board of directors elected by its member-owners. Each year there is an election to determine the representative from three of DMEA's nine board districts. This year, six candidates are seeking election to the DMEA board.
