Delta County Citizens for Animal Welfare and Shelter celebrated the grand opening of the CAWS Adoption Center (formerly City of Delta’s animal shelter) last Saturday. The Strut Yout Mutt Dog Walk-a-thon was held in conjunction with the grand opening. Some of the homeless animals that are currently living at the adoption center were able to stretch their legs during the walk-a-thon with the help of Delta High School Key Club members and other volunteer walkers.
