Aggressive dog shot

Charges will not be filed against a Crawford homeowner who shot and killed one of the two stray pit bulls that were attacking the family dog. The incident occurred Saturday afternoon on J Street in Crawford.

The other dog fled the scene. Deputy Kris Stewart determined the homeowner did not endanger anyone else with his actions, and his dog was indeed attacked. The deputy is still trying to identify the owner of the pit bulls.
