Conservation Center needs advocates for recycling
The Western Slope Conservation Center is looking for those interested in improving recycling in Delta County. Those who would like to be part of an active team of advocates are invited to attend the Recycling Committee meeting on Monday, Feb. 25, at 10 a.m. at the Conservation Center office at 204 Poplar Avenue in Paonia.
Delta County is continuing to provide recycling drop-off services at the North Fork Transfer Station in Hotchkiss. Double J Recycling will be managing the recycling efforts at the transfer station and the Delta newspaper bin. This is the second year for the pilot program.
Hours for the North Fork Transfer Station are Tuesday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
