Crawford town hall renovation is under budget

Phase I of the Crawford Town Hall Renovation Project is more than $18,000 under budget, according to Susan Hansen of the Friends of Crawford Town Hall.

The original bid by Ridgway Valley Enterprises, Inc. was $196,165 for Phase I.

The State Historical Fund revised budget was $185,341. The actual expenditures were $166,679.

The sources of revenue for Phase I were $125,009 from the State Historical Fund, $16,670 from the Town of Crawford and $25,000 from the Friends of Crawford Town Hall.

The State Historical Fund grant provides 75 percent of actual cost, with the Town of Crawford and the Friends of Crawford Town Hall contributing the 25 percent local match.
