One of the exciting traditions of Crawford's Pioneer Days the first weekend in June is the large fireworks display at Crawford State Park. People come from all points in Delta County and surround the reservoir to watch the fireworks show put on by the Crawford Fire Department.
Each year the Crawford Ladies Fire Auxiliary sponsors a two-day gigantic indoor yard sale to raise funds for the cost of the fireworks.
The club is still accepting donations. Donations can be taken to Crawford State Bank or arrangements can be made to deliver items to Crawford Town Hall. Call Jen Ludwig, Crawford Ladies Fire Auxiliary president, at 778-7836 if you have items to donate.
Donations of pies, cookies and breads to sell at the bake sale are also appreciated. Baked goods can be dropped off at Crawford Town Hall.
The yard sale will happen this Friday and Saturday, April 12-13. The hours for both days are 7 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Crawford Town Hall.
A $5 sloppy joe lunch will be served starting at 11 a.m.
