Denver Water's Citizens Advisory Committee, the 10-member volunteer committee that facilitates public involvement for Denver Water policies and programs, has an opening for a Western Slope representative from Mesa, Delta, Montrose or Garfield county.
The CAC typically meets the third Thursday of each month, 5-7 p.m., in the board room at Denver Water, 1600 W. 12th Ave., Denver.
To qualify for the position, an applicant must be a resident of Mesa, Delta, Montrose or Garfield county, a U.S. citizen, and have been a Colorado resident for at least five years. The position is for a three-year term that will start January 2014 and go through December 2016. Travel compensation is available for the Western Slope representative.

The CAC will interview selected candidates via phone or in person on Thursday, Nov. 21. Following the interview, the committee will send two nominations for the position to the Denver Board of Water Commissioners for final selection.
