The Crawford board of trustees heard of a continuing problem of sewer odors invading neighborhoods and businesses.
Owners of two different businesses, one on Highway 92 and the other on Cedar Avenue, spoke at the Nov. 6 council meeting.
They said sewer odors have been detected on I Street as well.
A plumber tested one sewer line with a camera and could not see any problem. His conclusion was the plumbing in the business must be faulty. The business owner strongly disagreed and said the county health department did not find any fault with the establishment's plumbing. The second business owner said with the sewer smells located at her business and elsewhere, it proves the first establishment could not be the source of the problem.
Crawford public works will continue to look into the matter. So far they have found no leaks in the town's sewer lines.blog comments powered by Disqus
