At the April 10 Paonia Town Council meeting action on the draft water ordinance was tabled to give the new trustees time to review the proposal.

Outgoing trustee Lucien Pevec did offer a change to the wording of Section Two, Paragraph D concerning "Additional Basic Rates for Multiple Businesses Housed in a Single Building."

Jerry Bledsoe, 46, of Hotchkiss is in critical condition at Western States Burn Center at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley following a fire in his apartment in the 200 block of East Orchard. The blaze occurred Thursday, April 19, at 11:30 p.m.
