Mock accident gives valuable lessons

The mock accident was used as EMS training and for showing Hotchkiss High School students about the consequences of drinking and driving.On April 25th, just two days before prom, a joint operation with emergency personnel made the consequences of driving while drunk a reality for the students at Hotchkiss High School. A number of their classmates in formal dress and covered in fake blood believably acted their roles in the staged multi-vehicle crash.

Keeping Highway 92 clean

The North Fork Snowmobile Club picked up trash along Highway 92 above the Crawford Reservoir on Saturday, April 27. The club has been doing the clean up for more than 20 years. The volunteers are (from left to right) Joe Oglesby, Bruce Bufkin, Scott Howell, Robert Pearce, Patty Howell, Wes Spore, Con Hirschfeld and Pat Gallob.
