‘Ms. Swartz’ praises Class of 2013

Swartzendruber told the class that they are “good people” and “problem-solvers,” and that the world needs people like them.If anyone who has ever worked at Paonia High School knows the students of the graduating class of 2013, knows their work ethics, their habits, their accomplishments, their quirks, and even their families, it's Cindy Swartzendruber.

"Ms. Swartz," as she is known, retired as assistant principal and guidance counselor in 2011, after 28 years at PHS.

HHS grads ready to move forward

b01 hhsPhoto by Kathy Browning Finally the moment came for the Class of 2013 to throw their caps into the air at the conclusion of their graduation ceremonies at Hotchkiss High School on Saturday, May 25.The Hotchkiss Class of 2013 completed its commencement exercises with vigor on Saturday.

Glen Suppes, dean of students, announced that the graduates had already earned 1,112 college credits through the Early Scholars program.
